If someone asked 13-16 year old me what I thought I would be doing at this age, my answer would have been far from trying to run the world. I know writing would have been on the list and I always knew I would end in something medical related (for the hate of math and love of biology) but I don’t think this was in my imagination. 2019 me would move heaven and earth not to be here today, she would be kicking and screaming if you told her she becomes me. A fighter, one of the greatest and most resilient versions of myself I have encountered. Problem being that being “strong” is rooted in suffering and she really braved it all, an unconquerable soul. 2019 was 4 years ago and it seems almost several lifetimes away. Man, am I grateful for chance. For the chance we have everyday to grow and to change trajectories. That was my 2022, a year of gratitude.
